Acupuncture Therapy: Traditional Healing for Modern Wellness

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice involving the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific body points to stimulate the central nervous system, often used to treat pain, nausea, and improve well-being. It is considered a safe, low-risk complementary therapy, with potential benefits for chronic headaches, osteoarthritis, and cancer-related side effects.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

The TCM Perspective (Qi & Meridians)

Focuses on balancing the flow of Qi (vital energy) along 14 major pathways called meridians. Disruptions in this energy flow are believed to lead to illness, and needle insertion aims to restore balance.

The Western Medical View

Explains the effects through the stimulation of nerves, muscles, and connective tissue. This stimulation is believed to trigger the release of natural painkillers like endorphins and serotonin, while also regulating the immune system and increasing blood flow.

Targeted Conditions

  • Chronic Back & Neck Pain
  • Migraines & Headaches
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Insomnia & Stress
  • Fibromyalgia
